Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is an advanced content management system. It’s part of a suite of products that under Adobe’s content management umbrella. I will walk through segments of technologies that AEM development involves.
AEM instances:
AEM has 3 instances. Author, Publish and Dispatcher.
Author instance is where the content author makes changes.
Publish is a staging instance that stores the latest authored content.
Dispatcher is the instance that the website is pointed at. It handles load balancing, cacheing and security.
